It cuts through 1/4” pine cleanly at 100% power and 4 mm/ sec in 2 passes, and it cuts through 1/2” oak at 100% power and 4 mm/sec in 3-4 passes. I get clean cuts on 3 mm basswood with one pass at 100% power and 7mm / sec speed. Then I bought the 20 watt laser head and everything improved dramatically. I purchased first the XTool D1 with the 10 watt laser and had many problems cutting through even 3 mm Basswood plywood.
